Tallest Building in the World (1/4/10 - 1/7/10)

The Burj Khalifa, located in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, is the tallest building in the world as of January 4, 2010.  It was known as the Burj Dubai (arabic for Dubai Tower), until it almost went bankrupt and was bailed out by the leader of neighboring Abu Dhabi, Khalifa.  The statistics are:

Height: 2,717 feet (828 meters)

Floors: 160

Elevators: 54

Speed of Elevators: 40 miles per hour

Cost of Construction: $1,500,000,000 (same cost as building the new Yankee Stadium)

Occupancy: Can hold 12,000 people; it is already 90% sold

Purpose: luxury apartments, offices and a hotel designed by Giorgio Armani

Highest Mosque: 158th floor

Highest Swimming Pool: 76th floor

I HAVE ASKED THE MATHLETES TO DO SOME RESEARCH TO FIND A NEW FACT ABOUT THE TOWER.
